Similar story in Australia. IIRC Subaru was the first domestic vehicle to cross the Simpson Desert unassisted.

Ben , good find. I'll second that MAS and Kevin, my daughter is a ski instructor at Mt Buller and loves her Forester. She and a number of other instructors all drive Subarus.
