I used to belong to it a while ago.
It tells me my name is taken (by me most likely) but it says it doesnt know my email address, but its the same email address I've had for ages

Yes the name is taken by an Australian who registered in 2009. I can't find the email or IP address among user registrations over there that you've used here.
