Installed a new stereo in the Subie today. Really happy with it.

Oh...and I forgot to post pictures of the new paint job. I really hated the two tone gold and green, so I decided to plasti dip the bottom gold part and it turned out nicely. I've had it like this for over a month now and it hasn't scratched or anything. It seems to be holding up nicely even off road.

ALRIGHT! Got some more work done today. Finally got my front bash plate on and I am stoked about it! Lift and tires coming up next!

Hey everyone. It's been a while but I'm back with some awesome updates and photos.

I've installed new KYB struts all around the subie and added some 215/70/16 Cooper M+S tires including a full size spare. The handling is so much better. I really can't believe it. With the 28 inch tires on and the skid plates installed I'm feeling way more confident off the road and it has been a lot of fun. I'm hoping to do a trip this weekend and I will try to get some good action photos.

And just to confirm for anyone out there. This is a 2002 Subaru outback/legacy and it fits 215/70/r16 tires without a lift and there is no rubbing unless at full lock and even then it is light. Keep in mind I have cut out my wheel wells on the front so that might remove some rubbing, but as far as the spring perch is concerned there is plenty of space.

I also added this cool little shovel install on the trunk hatch. It fits there perfectly and I didn't have to drill into the body or anything. I just put some bolts through the cloth and connected them with a sheet of aluminium. I put washers and lock nuts on that and it seems to be holding up really well. It's a pretty convenient place and I don't have to worry about anyone trying to steal it from my roof rack.

Next modifications are going to be tinting the windows, replacing all the wheels with steelies (currently only my spare is steel), hopefully a 2inch lift kit, and eventually a snorkel and more lighting for offroad.

Really like the look of the Cooper snow tyres. When I had my Pajero I had several sets of Cooper ATs and loved them.

Right on man. I think they're fantastic. I can't believe how much traction they get in the mud. I'm super excited to take em' up to the mountain. I'm actually hoping to fit a snorkel from a pajero onto my subie soon as well. :D :D :D

So I have been working on a new big project and its starting to take form. I'm just gonna show this teaser photo of what I'm up to and then post more pictures and a walk around video when I finish it next weekend.

Some more updates on the upcoming bumper.

Got the mach up finished today and its comming together. Got the two brackets for recovery installed and the mounts for the less cut out. It looks a little bulky and boxy right now but it will get trimmed up and i will smooth the edges out to make it look more aggressive. It should be finished in a week or so.
