OBD2 on 2004 Forester?

I was under the impression that the 2004 SG5 forester had OBD2.
Can anyone confirm? Just picked up a cheapy OBD2 connecter and am using Torque app, but can't connect.

Works fine on a recent model hyundai thing.

Ben, I think all SG models use OBDII.

IIRC the SF was still using OBDI, but I may be wrong about that. Again IIRC, the Impreza, Liberty, Outback and Forester all changed to OBDII at different times.

BTW, it's OBD, not ODB, so I will change the tags etc for you. Done. OBD = On Board Diagnostics
 
Just try multiple times connect it and disconnect. Mine doesnt work sometimes as well and then you restart car and its working again. Dont plug it while cars on.
