Foz mud & front fin guards. Protection or pointless?

Yeah not seem to be much difference but running a big roof pod so it's not the best aero to start with lol.
 
For me, the worst so far have been bike racks w/o bikes. Deafening at freeway speeds. Bike racks with bikes come second.

Was thinking of just going to these rather then the solid guards.

Well took a chance on the super cheap.... The mounting tabs not big enough.... Will just cut them out of rubber now that I have had them off and seen the setup....
Oh and how much dirt collects behind them it quite substantial....
