Changing rear wheel bearing my06 xt

I have searched the forum but couldn't find the info I needed.
On a XT my06 can you change the rear wheel bearings without a press by tapping out with pin punch or not?
 
My experience would indicate that a press is required. Rear bearing was replaced on my MY'03 by Subaru in Mildura and even with the press at maximum they had lots of trouble getting it out.
 
Yeah, you need a good press. Preferably a 20T press lol.

A word of warning, if the bearing is more than slightly worn, you will probably need a new hub. I've learnt this the hard way...twice!
