Has anyone experienced this before. Dealership rang saying they had a demand for 2016 Foresters and tried to offer a good trade in price. I told them I would not trade it in for a rocket.

They didn't call me with an offer for my 2003!

temmah If they'll offer a straight swap, you'd be mad not to!

Nah they just offered a good price on the trade in. No mention of what that price was. Just seemed a bit strange.

Dare say it was just some salesman in the game trying to drum up sales. He's probably hoping that you upgrade about every three or four years anyway (perhaps you do?)

Tell him you know of a bloke selling a fair dinkum Forester

To me it’s away to drum up sales and more importantly for the salesman, increase commissions...

Cheers

True. Dealers usually have a fair amount of info regarding its customers including occupation and number of cars, frequency of ownership per car, etc.

No different to the regular real estate junk mail who claim they have a very keen buyer interested in my house
