Thanks for the advice Dunco, I ended up going with Bridgestone D697s at for about $140 each, couldn't say no at that price. going to pick up another one when I take the car in for its first rotation, so I'll be able to roatate six.

I'm a bit peeved though having looked at that website, I could have got the Duelers in a 215/60/16 and kept the same size. Going up to a 65 isn't that much of a jump, but noticeable in crawling & highway speeds.
On the plus side, my speedo is now the most accurate it's ever been, relative to GPS speeds.

Become good friends with a Bridgestone employee. I reckon most tyre manufacturers would probably offer similar discounts to their employees, I'm sure there's a pretty decent mark-up on most tyres.

Now if only Bridgestone would buy BF Goodrich... Ain't gonna happen though according to my contact. Ever. She was quite emphatic about it.

I reckon about 75-80% of the serious off-roaders up here run on BFG AT/MT, then a toss up between Bridgestone A/T, Maxxis, Toyo and a few of the other brands, not many though. I reckon about about the same % of new SUVs and "On-Road" 4wds are running Bridgestone HTs, if not higher.
