Well.. in stock form it is a love-hate thing. Lovely car to drive, smooth, got decent enough power, decently quick, love the 8 speaker Bose system. Seats are nice and comfy for long trips.

I hate the turbo lag, the collision warning systems sometimes prevents you from doing a quick overtake - you can't punch the throttle and accelerate out of your lane which means you have to wait for a big enough gap to move to the next lane, punch the throttle and wait for the turbo to kick in. You can always turn collision warning off but I'm paranoid I might rear-end someone (which I haven't and I been driving for 18 years). Lane departure warning is annoying sometimes.

But it might just be me.

Yeah, I think this is an accurate statement. The only thing that stopped me from taking the Forester was my wheels/tire pressure.

I have 19x7.5 with 245/45R19 so I don't think I would be able to deflate them down much.

I am currently looking for new rims for an offroad/sand set. Was looking at stock BRZ rims but was told they won't clear my Brembos.

From what I have found out, I have a 8Jx19 ET43 offset. and stock BRZ rims are +45.

So if anyone knows whats the smallest diameter I can go for wheels (I assume 17"), what other cars can I pinch wheels from.

If I buy +45 BRZ rims can I use or would you suggest using spacers? if so would I get 2mm/3mm spacers? (is that how it works)

I think WRX rims are +55 offset so would they work? and would they stick out too far?

Thanks all.

About the only thing I can suggest is avoid spacers if you can.

Here is a pic explaining wheel offset. ET55 will be more inside the fenders than ET45
