Any ghost towners here?

Here is California there are hundreds of ghost towns in fairly easy access by car. Some of them require 4x4 vehicles or stout Subies to get to.

Are there many ghost towns from the gold rush left down under? Are they popular destinations for off roads Subaru members?

I ask because my last trip up some steep, narrow, dirt and gravel roads was to get to a silver boom town that blossomed in the late 1860s, nearly died in the 1890s, and briefly came back as a zinc mining town in the 1920s and '30s.

Yeah, was just up at Yerranderie the other weekend. It's a long dusty drive in and out.
